welcome

The law has changed and Connexions Bolton is now Connexions Careers Service.

From September 2012 the responsibility to ensure that pupils receive impartial careers information was transferred from the Local Authority to schools.  The Local Authority kept the responsibility to provide information, advice and guidance to post 16, vulnerable young people who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).  Connexions Bolton is now solely a careers service.

What support will Connexions Bolton now provide to young people?

We will continue to offer professional and impartial careers information, advice and guidance to 13 - 19 year olds.

We will continue to provide careers information, advice and guidance to young people who are at risk of NEET for various reasons and will also provide help to young people with learning difficulties or disabilities, with their move into further education, training or employment.

Schools have the option to purchase a service from Connexions Bolton to provide careers information, advice and guidance to fulfil their statutory responsibilities.  We currently have Personal Advisers based in most secondary schools.

We regularly put posts on our Facebook page including links to job vacancies for young people, so why not visit and 'Like' us today?
