Bolton Council has launched a new dedicated website for its business support service, Business Bolton.
The free site (http://www.businessbolton.org) features information and help on a range of diverse topics, including business start-up and development opportunities in the town.
Budding entrepreneurs can take an interactive test to find out how ready they are to become self employed. Advice is also available for companies based in Bolton or looking to relocate here.
The website is regularly updated with news and events, and firms can use a call-back function on the site to request expert help and advice.
To mark the launch of the website, the first 50 businesses to use the call-back tab will receive a free eco-button. The eco-button connects to the USB port of a computer and will turn it down to the lowest power settings. The button also shows how much energy and money you have saved.
Councillor Akhtar Zaman, Bolton Council’s Executive Member for Regeneration, said: “Business Bolton provides a single access point for local business support and the service is working with new and growing firms to ensure that Bolton maintains its position as one of the UK’s best places to do business.
“People looking for employment and established firms seeking information on growth, funding and recruitment will find this new website really helpful and easy to use.”
