Good and Tillotson Limited Chartered Architects; a case study
When local architectural practice Good and Tillotson Limited wanted to recruit a young Trainee Architectural Technician for their expanding business, they got in touch with Connexions Bolton's vacancy team.
Their vacancy was advertised in the busy Connexions shop in Bolton town centre and promoted by all Connexions Personal Advisers to young people in local schools and colleges across the borough - and it didn't cost Good and Tillotson a penny.
Canon Slade pupil Matthew Jones found out about the opportunity via his school and applied straight away. When he went for an interview the combination of his academic achievement along with his enthusiasm and genuine interest for the post shone through and he was offered the position.
Connexions Bolton then helped the company to find an appropriate day release course for Matthew to attend: the BTEC National Diploma in Building Studies at Bolton Community College.
Office manager Anne Hatch says "I was very impressed with the efficient and professional way in which our vacancy was handled. I would certainly recommend the services of Connexions Bolton to other local businesses."
Managing Director John Smalley is also very happy with the service - Matthew is proving to be an excellent addition to the company's growing team.
