Discrimination

The world of work should see everyone treated well and jobs given to those with the best ability. Sadly, this is not always the case, so it’s well worth knowing a bit about what to do if you think you’ve been treated unfairly.

Discrimination in the workplace is no different to bullying in the schoolyard – it is wrong and should not be tolerated.

Discrimination laws

Laws against discrimination make it illegal for employers to discriminate throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace on the grounds of:

  • Disability
  • Race
  • Gender
  • Age
