Name:
Nathan Joseph Smith
Position:
Member of Youth MP
Hello I’m Nathan Joseph Smith and I am 18 years old. I am going to Bolton College in September 2009 and I stood for the Youth MP’s elections in Bolton.
Interesting facts…
- Auditioning is my favourite thing to do- I auditioned for X Factor and Big Brother this year
- I am going to audition for a part in the High School Musical production in Bolton
- I’m a twin and I’m ten minutes older than my sister
- I also did a speech with Rumworth special needs school about unlocking talent of young people infront of 2000 people in Birmingham
What I stood for at the Youth mps elections…
I stood for people with learning disabilities because having a disability, myself I know what it’s like to be left out of things. I also decided to stand up for people with this disability because not many people with this will have the confidence to stand up for themselves. Some people stereotype people with disabilities because they have never experienced people with these problems. I think it is time to change this, don’t you?
What I have done since being part of the youth mp team...
I have joined the Cash Panel, which is where we interview people who ask for money to help with there cause and I am also part of the GMPTE youth forum to improve transport cost, etc.
